OakNorth Ventures is an exclusive accelerator programme with a maximum capacity of seven to ten exceptional seed stage startup founders per year in the FinTech and PropTech spaces.

This programme provides a unique opportunity to directly access OakNorth’s two-time co-founder Joel Perlman. Rishi and Joel built two companies from scratch. Their first company Copal Amba only ever used $60k and 12 years later had grown to become a 3,000-employee firm across 13 markets. Copal Amba was sold to Moody’s (NYSE: MCO), returning 200x capital to seed investors. Their second company, OakNorth Bank, became profitable after 11 months of operations and in 2023 delivered an annual profit of £187m.

The programme aims to assist founders in reevaluating their overall objectives, their business strategy, their business model, and their business management approach. Participants benefit from direct guidance on how to achieve goals without falling into common pitfalls that first time founders often fall into. The programme also allows founders to leverage OakNorth’s ecosystem and network, and may include a small direct investment.

OakNorth Ventures is mainly focused on seed-stage startups in the FinTech and PropTech spaces that have launched a minimum viable product (MVP) and have demonstrated some early revenue traction. However, we also engage with pre-MVP and pre-revenue companies, as well as companies in other sectors.
